Itinerary
• Warmly welcomed by our representative and assisted with your transfer to Kandy. En route, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can observe elephants and learn about their care and conservation. • Continue to Kandy and check in at the hotel. After some time to refresh and relax, proceed for an evening visit to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist sites. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance Show and visit a Gem Museum, where you can discover Sri Lanka’s world-famous gemstones. • overnight stay in Kandy.
• After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s beautiful hill-country destination, famous for its cool climate, tea estates and scenic mountain landscapes. En route, visit a tea plantation and factory to learn about the process of producing world-famous Ceylon Tea, from freshly picked tea leaves to the final product. • Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, visit Gregory Lake, where you can enjoy an optional boat ride while taking in the peaceful surroundings and refreshing hill-country atmosphere. • Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
• After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed towards Yala. On the way, visit the sacred Seetha Amman Temple, associated with the Ramayana legend, followed by a visit to the beautiful Hakgala Botanical Garden, known for its colorful flowers, landscaped gardens and cool mountain climate. Continue the journey to Yala and check in at the hotel. • In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting Yala National Park Jeep Safari. Explore one of Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife parks, home to elephants, deer, crocodiles, numerous bird species and the elusive Sri Lankan leopard. • Overnight stay in Yala.
• After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed towards Bentota along Sri Lanka’s beautiful southern coast. En route, visit the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring charming colonial architecture, old ramparts, narrow streets and beautiful ocean views. • Continue to a Sea Turtle Hatchery, where you can learn about Sri Lanka’s Sea turtles and ongoing conservation efforts. Arrive in Bentota and check in at the hotel. Spend the evening relaxing on the beautiful golden beach and enjoy the tropical sunset by the Indian Ocean. • Overnight stay in Bentota.
• Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and spend some leisure time before departure. Depending on your flight departure time, you may enjoy an optional Madu River Boat Safari, cruising through mangrove forests and waterways while experiencing the natural beauty of Sri Lanka’s southern wetlands. Afterwards, proceed to Airport for your departure flight.
